I realized that a lot of people that might stumble upon this blog may not have even had a chance to read any of my work. So, the next few posts will be from my new poetry collection.
They Treat Me Nice
Cut and slice,
Fresh and nice,
Whittling away the day.
My canvas you; so true--
With your body,
I do play.
They told me something's broken.
The clockworks mangled;
Like a sweater unravelling quickly,
Who pulled the string that dangled?
They say like the hatter,
I'm mad!
It's not so bad.
The tea here is good at least.
They treat me nice;
Give me good drugs,
At long as I keep in check--
The beast.
He is slinky,
Oily, slick and squirmy too,
And so quick --
He runs you through.
Tooth and claw,
The razors bite.
Flesh is flayed,
Your blood so bright.
I tried so long,
To make it right,
But sanity fled,
Ran in fright.
I let it go hysterical--
giggles in my head.
So they put me in this padded room
To keep you all from being dead.
